Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 became effective on 1st January 2005. The Act provides any member of the public the right to access any recorded information held by public authorities and the aim is to develop more openness and accountability across the public sector. A Scottish public authority receiving a request, which complies with the FOI(S)A 2002, must submit a reply no later than twenty working day after receipt of the request.

While Safety Camera Partnerships are not classed as public authorities, each of the individual partners are, therefore any information associated with the partnerships may be requested through them. In the interest of the Act, Central Scotland Safety Camera Partnership will work towards the duty to provide advice and assistance as far as it is reasonable to expect it to do so.
