Mobile Safety Camera Deployment w/c 16 April 2007

Central Scotland Safety Camera Partnership Manager, Neil MacSporran said: “As a driver you have a responsibility to know the speed limit for the type of vehicle you are driving and the type of road that you are on. But don’t treat speed limits as a target - it’s often not appropriate or safe to drive at the maximum speed limit. It’s important that drivers take into account weather, road and traffic conditions. We don’t want to detect you speeding, what we want is for motorists to slow down and drive at a safe speed.”

During the week commencing Monday, 16 April 2007, mobile safety cameras will be deployed at the following locations:

A907 Cambus; A9 Dunblane; A908 Devonside, Tillicoultry; M9 at M876; M9 Polmont; A907 Linlithgow Rd, Bo’ness and M876 Torwood, Larbert.

(Please note that the deployment schedule may change according to operational priorities.)

All Central Scotland Safety Camera Partnership sites have a proven history of collisions and evidence of speeding vehicles.
